About the Company
Nexal IIT is offering a structured remote internship for freshers who want to begin a career in backend development. The internship provides practical exposure to building server-side applications, developing APIs, working with databases, implementing backend functionality, and supporting scalable web applications.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining backend applications and server-side functionality.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs for web and application-based projects.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient backend code using relevant programming languages and frameworks.
- Work with databases to store, retrieve, update, and manage application data (SQL or NoSQL).
- Implement business logic, authentication, validation, and application functionality.
- Integrate backend services with frontend applications and third-party APIs.
- Test, debug, and troubleshoot backend applications and APIs.
- Assist in identifying and resolving performance, reliability, and security-related issues.
- Use Git and version-control practices to manage source code and development workflows.
- Document APIs, code, technical approaches, and development progress clearly.
- Collaborate with remote team members and complete assigned development tasks and deliverables on time.
Requirements
Suitable for freshers interested in backend development. Basic understanding of programming concepts (OOP) required.
Familiarity with at least one language: Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, or similar.
Basic knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, and client-server architecture.
Understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases.
Knowledge of frameworks like Express.js, Django, Flask, Spring Boot is beneficial.
Familiarity with Git and version control preferred.
Strong logical reasoning, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, willingness to learn.
Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
