Senior Backend Engineer – Node.js & Microservices

Join Publicis Production as a Senior Backend Engineer to lead the development of innovative solutions using Node.js in a microservices architecture. You will be a key contributor to building scalable, high-quality backend applications while fostering best engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy robust Node.js applications, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Collaborate with CI/CD teams to adapt Terraform for continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
• Engineering Excellence: Champion code reviews, Hexagonal Architecture, TDD, and automated testing to uphold coding standards.
• API & Workflow Development: Design RESTful APIs and workflow engines to integrate applications and implement business logic.
• Mentorship & Collaboration: Guide junior engineers, align with stakeholders (including managers in Colombia/UK), and ensure cross-team transparency.
• Problem-Solving: Debug production issues and implement efficient solutions.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on backend/cloud trends and methodologies.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years in backend development with expertise in Node.js, REST APIs, Hexagonal/DDD architecture.
• Proficient in Git, automated testing (TDD), and cloud tools (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability for distributed teams.

Bonus: Experience with Docker, workflow engines (Airflow/Camunda), monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana), and security best practices.
