Azure Infrastructure Engineer

About This Role

We are seeking an Azure Infrastructure Engineer for a hands-on role focused on designing, building, migrating, securing, and operating production Azure infrastructure that extends our existing on-premises VMware and Windows datacenter. You will serve as the bridge between legacy systems and modern cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Azure Infrastructure & Operations: Design landing zones, manage VMs, storage, backups, and governance. Troubleshoot complex connectivity and performance issues across network layers (VM, OS, DNS, Firewall).
• Hybrid Networking: Architect VNets, NSGs, routing tables, Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, and failover strategies. Manage application delivery via Front Door and load balancers.
• Migration Execution: Lead VMware and Windows migrations using Azure Migrate, handling dependency assessments, cutover planning, rollback procedures, and post-migration support for SQL Server workloads.
• Resiliency & DR: Design disaster recovery strategies using Site Recovery to meet RTO/RPO targets. Operate Azure Backup alongside third-party platforms.
• Automation (IaC): Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, including modules, remote state management, and Git-based workflows within Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Security & Governance: Implement Entra ID RBAC, Conditional Access, and managed identities. Enforce compliance with PCI DSS, NIST, and CIS controls using Azure Policy and Defender for Cloud.
• Cross-Training: Collaborate with Networking, Security, Database, and App Development teams to share knowledge on cloud practices and legacy system expertise.
