Azure data engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an Azure Data Engineer to design scalable data pipelines that support advanced analytics and reporting. You will leverage big data technologies, particularly Apache Spark on Azure Databricks, to build optimized data models and execute efficient SQL queries for ETL/ELT processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines supporting complex analytics needs.
• Integrate diverse data sources while ensuring high quality and consistency.
• Create optimized data models using Apache Spark for advanced transformations.
• Write performant SQL queries for extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
• Implement and manage enterprise-grade solutions on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver impactful results.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Python
• Expertise in SQL (complex queries)
• Strong background in ETL/ELT workflows
• Data Pipeline architecture and optimization
• Data Modeling best practices
• Experience with Apache Spark ecosystem
• Demonstrated skills on Microsoft Azure services

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Databricks environment
