Azure Data Engineer

Inizio is seeking an Azure Data Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to join our team in Gurugram, India. This role involves building and supporting robust data pipelines on Azure, contributing to our Data Warehouse initiatives, and playing a key role in our Microsoft Fabric projects. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for efficient data ingestion and transformation. This includes ingesting data from various sources such as databases, APIs, SFTP, and SharePoint into Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) or Blob Storage. You will process data across Raw, Staging, and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) layers, and write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures. Key responsibilities also include implementing incremental/delta data loads, establishing basic error handling mechanisms, and actively monitoring and troubleshooting pipelines. You will work with Lakehouse concepts, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers, and support transformations using Python and PySpark. A significant part of this role will involve contributing to Microsoft Fabric, including its Pipelines, Lakehouse, and Notebooks.

Required Skills:

• 2–4 years of dedicated Data Engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Expertise in SQL, including writing complex queries and stored procedures.
• Solid understanding of Data Warehouse concepts, including data modeling, staging, and EDW layers.
• Good grasp of incremental and delta data loading strategies.
• Working knowledge of Python with PySpark for data transformations, particularly on Azure Databricks.
• Understanding of Lakehouse architecture principles.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
• Experience with metadata/config-driven pipeline frameworks is desirable.
