Azure Cloud Engineer

Role Overview

Caresoft is actively recruiting an Azure Cloud Engineer to support critical DOT / E-ZPass Virginia tolling applications, infrastructure, and cloud workloads. This position centers on robust Azure cloud administration, server management, security protocols, backup strategies, and identity platform oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead the support of DOT / E-ZPass Virginia tolling applications across diverse infrastructures and cloud environments.

Mandatory Requirements

• Expertise in Microsoft Azure administration and engineering practices.
• Pervasive experience with Microsoft Windows server environments (2019+).
• Solid background in managing server infrastructure, including protocols, firewalls, certificates, and load balancers.
• Proficiency in networking, dual-server administration (Windows/Linux), database management, and cloud ecosystems.
• Capability to implement Rubrik backup & recovery solutions for Azure IaaS/PaaS workloads.
• Skill in scripting using PowerShell or Python.
• Ability to administer Secret Server privileged access vaults effectively.
• Familiarity with Office 365 and Power Apps platforms.
• Understanding of PCI compliance frameworks or similar regulatory standards.
• Experience managing Single Sign On (SSO) and identity administration via Entra ID.
• Knowledge of enterprise governance models is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, or TFS.
• Experience applying Infrastructure as Code principles using Terraform or equivalent solutions.
• Skill in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in Key Vault management for secrets and certificate security.
• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ 104, AZ 305) are highly valued.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze cloud cost trends and provide optimization recommendations.
