AWS Site Reliability Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an AWS Site Reliability Engineer with production support and DevOps experience to ensure system stability and availability. The ideal candidate will diagnose real-time issues, manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git/Bitbucket, and deploy applications via Docker and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production support for applications, ensuring high availability of systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical production incidents in real-time environments.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git/Bitbucket, and other DevOps tools.
• Manage application deployments utilizing containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Implement observability solutions including Grafana, Prometheus, and Instana for monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform to automate provisioning.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Lead incident management processes and conduct post-mortem analyses to enhance system resilience.
• Automate repetitive tasks and optimize system processes for efficiency.

Mandatory Skills

Production Support: Proven expertise in application operations, troubleshooting methodologies, and comprehensive system monitoring.
DevOps Ecosystem:
- CI/CD: Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket
- Virtualization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
- Observability Stack: Grafana, Prometheus, Instana
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform

Technical Proficiency

• Familiarity with Micro-frontend and Microservices architecture patterns.
• Programming proficiency in one or more of the following: Angular, TypeScript, Python, or Node.js (Basic to Intermediate level).

SRE Fundamentals

Demonstrable understanding of Site Reliability Engineering practices essential for achieving reliability and performance objectives within production environments.
