AWS Operations Engineer

As an Operations Engineer in Kolkata or Mumbai, you will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional instrumental in providing robust operational support for our connected devices and systems. Key Responsibilities:

Operational & Cloud Support

• Deliver day-to-day support for AWS cloud-based systems and services, ensuring high availability and optimal performance for connected tools and outdoor products.
• Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure components including API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3/CloudFront.
• Assist with deployment, performance tuning, and cost optimization strategies within the AWS ecosystem.

Monitoring & Incident Management

• Implement, configure, and manage monitoring tools such as Datadog and Mixpanel for proactive issue detection.
• Actively participate in incident response, ensuring swift and effective resolution to minimize downtime.

DevOps & DevSecOps Implementation

• Drive the implementation and ongoing maintenance of CI/CD pipelines utilizing Bitbucket-CI and Jenkins for streamlined application deployments.
• Support the integration of security best practices throughout the development lifecycle, aligning with DevSecOps principles.

Infrastructure as Code

• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources for efficiency and consistency.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with development, security, and product teams to foster system reliability and enhance security postures.
• Analyze performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and suggest implementing improvements.
• Document operational processes, system configurations, and incident reports, contributing to team knowledge sharing and performance reporting with KPIs.

Required Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of core AWS cloud services.
• Experience with monitoring solutions (e.g., Datadog, Mixpanel).
• Proficiency in CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Bitbucket-CI, Jenkins).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Familiarity with AWS services: API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, and CloudFront.
• Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong documentation and reporting abilities.

Preferred Certification:

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner is a plus.
