Full Job Description
As an Operations Engineer in Kolkata or Mumbai, you will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional instrumental in providing robust operational support for our connected devices and systems. Key Responsibilities:
Operational & Cloud Support
- Deliver day-to-day support for AWS cloud-based systems and services, ensuring high availability and optimal performance for connected tools and outdoor products.
- Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure components including API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3/CloudFront.
- Assist with deployment, performance tuning, and cost optimization strategies within the AWS ecosystem.
Monitoring & Incident Management
- Implement, configure, and manage monitoring tools such as Datadog and Mixpanel for proactive issue detection.
- Actively participate in incident response, ensuring swift and effective resolution to minimize downtime.
DevOps & DevSecOps Implementation
- Drive the implementation and ongoing maintenance of CI/CD pipelines utilizing Bitbucket-CI and Jenkins for streamlined application deployments.
- Support the integration of security best practices throughout the development lifecycle, aligning with DevSecOps principles.
Infrastructure as Code
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources for efficiency and consistency.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with development, security, and product teams to foster system reliability and enhance security postures.
- Analyze performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and suggest implementing improvements.
- Document operational processes, system configurations, and incident reports, contributing to team knowledge sharing and performance reporting with KPIs.
Required Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of core AWS cloud services.
- Experience with monitoring solutions (e.g., Datadog, Mixpanel).
- Proficiency in CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Bitbucket-CI, Jenkins).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Familiarity with AWS services: API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, and CloudFront.
- Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
Preferred Certification:
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner is a plus.
