AWS Java Developer

CGI is seeking a Senior Java Developer with Cloud/AWS expertise to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for professionals with 5-8 years of experience in backend Java development. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services, building RESTful APIs and microservices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role involves writing clean, efficient code, performing code reviews, debugging, and optimizing performance to ensure application security, reliability, and scalability. You will also work with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience in Java (Java 8/11/17+)
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and web services
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture
• Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
• Familiarity with Git

Cloud & AWS Skills:

• Understanding of cloud architecture and deployment models
• Experience with Docker; Kubernetes is a plus
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation/Terraform is a plus)
• Familiarity with CloudWatch
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and API Gateway

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of security standards such as OAuth2 and JWT
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Basic understanding of DevOps practices
