AWS Backend Engineer

We are seeking a talented AWS Backend Engineer to join our dynamic development team at PayPal. As a self-starter and team player, you will be instrumental in driving results and fostering continuous improvement. Your responsibilities will include understanding our core products and organizational objectives, developing prototypes and simulations for innovative service infrastructure and functionality enhancements, and writing well-commented, high-quality code that is further refined through code reviews. You will collaborate with senior leadership and architects on development plans and design, produce code supported by robust unit tests, and possess a foundational understanding of technical concepts within your specialized field. Working closely with other engineers and cross-functional teams, including Research, Project Management, Quality Assurance, and Operations, you will contribute to developing exceptional software that meets market demands for functionality, reliability, performance, and scalability.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, C/C++, Perl, or PHP.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• A solid academic background and excellent Computer Science fundamentals.
• Detailed knowledge of projects undertaken during your course curriculum.
• A positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
