Automation Support Engineer

WPP is establishing a new, in-house Automation Support Team within its Enterprise Technology, Automation & AI department to manage, monitor, and optimize its growing automation solutions globally. This pivotal role within the Global Automation Operations Centre (AOC) program involves solution delivery and daily technology management, reporting to the Automation Operations Manager. The successful candidate will support automation product, platform, and delivery teams worldwide, ensuring automation projects are managed effectively to deliver quantifiable returns. This entry-level L1 Automation Support Engineer position is ideal for individuals passionate about technology and eager to grow in automation & AI support. Responsibilities include continuous monitoring and initial triage of RPA bots (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate Desktop) and Power Automate flows, incident logging and documentation, first-line troubleshooting based on runbooks, effective escalation to L2/L3 support, user communication, basic data querying (SQL), contributing to documentation, supporting deployments, and tracking performance metrics. Adherence to operational procedures, security policies, and incident management protocols is essential. The role requires an overall IT support experience of 2+ years, with at least 1 year of hands-on exposure to RPA technologies or Microsoft Power Platform. Mandatory certifications include PL-500 and PL-900. Preferred certifications are UiPath Automation Developer Associate and PL-400.
