Automation QA Engineer

FusionStak is seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pune, Maharashtra. This role is ideal for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of dedicated automation testing experience, building upon a total of 5+ years in software testing. We are looking for immediate joiners or those with a notice period of 15 days or less.

As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts for both web and mobile applications. You will leverage your expertise in tools like Katalon Studio (Core Java) or Playwright (C#) to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze requirements to design comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Define effective test strategies for manual and automated testing efforts.
• Conduct thorough functional, usability, regression, and exploratory testing.
• Document and report defects, collaborating closely with developers for timely resolution.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation test scripts using Katalon Studio (Core Java) and Playwright (C#).
• Execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications, validating functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Set up and manage test environments to ensure seamless testing operations.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions, in collaboration with DevOps.
• Utilize performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to assess application performance under various conditions.
• Employ defect tracking and progress reporting tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
• Propose improvements to development and testing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Stay abreast of the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry trends.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and resolve issues promptly.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.

Required Experience:

• 3-5 years of professional experience in software testing, encompassing both manual and automation testing.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in writing test cases and designing effective test strategies.
• Hands-on experience with automation testing using Katalon Studio with Core Java.
• Proficiency in the Playwright automation framework with C#.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and project management tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages including Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality results.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Exposure to API testing tools like Postman.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is considered a significant advantage.
