Automation Engineer – Service

Our client, a distinguished and rapidly expanding Process Automation EPC firm, is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer – Service for their operations in Pune, India. This role involves supporting, troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintaining industrial process control systems, with a specific focus on the Honeywell platform.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Automation Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in PLC/DCS systems, system support, and industrial automation environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on exposure to the Honeywell platform and a proven ability to contribute to automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive support for the design, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning of PLC and DCS-based automation systems.
• Work extensively with Honeywell automation platforms; experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley is advantageous.
• Develop and modify control logic, graphical user interfaces (HMI/SCADA), alarms, and associated functionalities.
• Effectively troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to ensure continuous and efficient plant operations.
• Contribute to system upgrades, migrations, and retrofit projects.
• Collaborate closely with instrumentation, electrical, and process engineering teams during implementation phases.
• Generate and maintain essential technical documentation, including Functional Design Specifications (FDS), logic diagrams, loop diagrams, I/O lists, and Cause & Effect matrices.
• Actively participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning, and validation activities.
• Offer ongoing technical support to operations and maintenance personnel.
• Uphold rigorous adherence to safety, quality, and relevant industry standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in industrial automation or process control systems, preferably within the Pune region or willing to relocate.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Honeywell DCS/SCADA platforms.
• Solid understanding of PLC/DCS architecture and common industrial communication protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility for occasional travel to client sites for support and commissioning activities.
• Excellent communication and collaborative teamwork abilities.
