Automation Engineer - PLC Programming
Mechatron System Pvt. Ltd. in Odhav, Ahmedabad, Gujarat is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer for its Automation & Engineering department. This is a full-time position focused on delivering cutting-edge industrial automation solutions.
Role Responsibilities:
- Execute PLC programming, rigorous testing, and debugging for various industrial automation projects.
- Develop and implement control logic, safety interlocks, and automation sequences according to specific project requirements.
- Design, develop, and integrate Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) with PLC systems.
- Configure, set parameters, and commission Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Conduct site commissioning, perform thorough testing, and troubleshoot automation systems in the field.
- Collaborate effectively with panel designers, project engineers, and field teams to ensure project success.
- Modify and optimize existing PLC programs based on client feedback and performance analysis.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including IO lists and detailed commissioning reports.
- Adhere to and promote safety standards and best practices in all automation engineering activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree (BE/B.Tech) in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in PLC programming and industrial automation projects.
- Hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs, specifically S7-1200, S7-1500, S7-300, and S7-400.
- Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal.
- Experience in HMI configuration, with a preference for Siemens HMI solutions.
- Solid understanding of industrial control panels and field instrumentation.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and P&ID diagrams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other PLC brands such as Schneider Electric and Allen Bradley.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems, including Siemens WinCC or other platforms.
- Experience with a variety of VFD manufacturers (Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Danfoss, etc.).
- Prior experience in field commissioning is highly advantageous.
