Automation Developer

WPP Production, a part of WPP, is seeking a Workflow/Process Automation Developer for its Hyderabad/Secunderabad, Telangana, India location. This role is focused on designing, building, and maintaining automation solutions to streamline content production and business workflows within an Adobe Creative Suite environment. The goal is to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enable scalable media operations.

Key responsibilities include developing automations directly within Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects) using ExtendScript, UXP, and Adobe APIs. Python scripting will be used for workflow orchestration, API integrations, and data processing. The developer will integrate Adobe tools with DAM, CMS, cloud platforms, and third-party services via REST APIs, and implement RPA solutions using tools like Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath, or Zapier. Tasks also involve automating asset routing, file handling, metadata updates, publishing, and reporting. Collaboration with creative, production, and operations teams, along with monitoring and documenting automations, is crucial.

The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of experience in automation or scripting, strong proficiency in Adobe Scripting and Python, and experience with RPA/workflow automation tools. Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and media workflow automation is required. Experience in media production, DAM/CMS systems, and cloud platforms is a plus.
