Key Responsibilities include:
- Engaging clients through clear communication regarding engagement expectations and proactively informing them of relevant accounting, financial, and regulatory developments affecting their organizations.
- Leading the planning, execution, and completion of financial statement audits, including diligent budget management and assuming an in-charge role as required.
- Mentoring and supervising audit associates and interns, providing constructive and consistent feedback to foster their professional growth.
- Collaborating with the audit team to design innovative audit procedures, utilizing advanced audit technology and creative tools. Conducting thorough research on complex accounting and auditing matters and meticulously documenting conclusions.
- Working flexibly at client sites, in the office, or remotely. We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, mathematics, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of two years of progressive public accounting experience, with demonstrable experience in an in-charge auditing capacity.
- The educational qualifications necessary to pursue CPA certification in the state of employment.
- Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills, with a solid understanding of US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB rules and standards.
- The ability to effectively manage multiple engagements and competing priorities with efficiency.
- A demonstrated value for teamwork, agility, and the proficiency in building robust professional relationships.
- A keen interest in or prior exposure to automation and digitization tools within audit practices or the broader professional services industry.
- Willingness to travel as needed, with an expected travel commitment of up to 25%.
