Assoicate CQV Engineer

Natera, a global leader in cell-free DNA testing for oncology, women’s health, and organ health, is seeking a dedicated Associate CQV Engineer for its San Carlos, CA operations. This role is crucial for the service and support of laboratory equipment, encompassing installation, calibration, and ongoing maintenance of various instruments within the Operations laboratory. You will collaborate closely with Instrument Support Engineers, Automation, and laboratory teams to swiftly address instrument failures and ensure optimal functionality. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues to minimize downtime, installing new laboratory equipment such as liquid handlers and sequencers, and coordinating instrument qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ) per established protocols. You will also work with Quality Assurance to define qualification, calibration, and preventive maintenance requirements for new instruments, ensuring compliance with regulations. Maintaining a robust preventative maintenance program, performing Level 1 troubleshooting, and coordinating with Level II technicians and vendors for escalated issues are essential. This position requires recommending and implementing improvements for equipment performance, adhering to all safety and regulatory standards (OSHA, CAP, CLIA), and continuously developing expertise in clinical laboratory equipment service. Accurate tracking of all service activities, ensuring timely and complete documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and supporting the company's Quality Management System are paramount. This role involves regular handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) and requires timely completion of HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance, and security training.
