Associate Technical Architect

As an Associate Technical Architect (7-10 years experience), you will design scalable backend systems for ZOOP's technology platforms, collaborating closely with engineering leaders to implement secure, reliable solutions.

This hands-on role requires strong software fundamentals in Go/Node.js and distributed systems. You will own architecture decisions, guide Tech Leads without direct management, write production-quality code, debug complex issues, and mentor teams on best practices like caching (Redis), messaging (Kafka), and cloud-native patterns using Kubernetes/GCP.

Key responsibilities include defining API strategies, managing technical debt, ensuring high availability through fault tolerance design, creating architecture documentation (RFCs/ADRs), evaluating new technologies via POCs, and optimizing for performance across PostgreSQL/MongoDB databases. You will act as a technical point of reference to navigate large codebases and drive the evolution from legacy systems to modern architectures.
