Associate Software Engineer

About the Role

Kaleris is hiring super bright engineers to join our Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India team. In this position, you will contribute significantly to next-generation transportation and logistics software for the marine industry.

• Collaborate with colleagues to define system requirements and build state-of-the-art software within an Agile environment.
• Work alongside QA Teams, Developers, Quality Engineers, and Product Managers to deliver high-quality applications.

Responsibilities

• Create new product features for global customers using test-driven development (TDD).
• Develop across every level of the stack: frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• Take end-to-end ownership of functionality from design to delivery.

Requirements

• B.E or B.Tech degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Demonstrated object-oriented programming skills with Java and/or C++.
• Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
• Strong knowledge of design patterns and data structures.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of the broader Java/JEE stack (JDBC, JMX, JPA, JMS).
• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Ajax, and various frameworks.
• Experience with app servers like Tomcat, WebLogic, or JBoss.
• Skill in building REST APIs.
