Associate Software Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Associate Software Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in programming, problem-solving, and software development fundamentals, with a willingness to learn new technologies and contribute to real-world engineering projects.

You will work closely with experienced engineers to design, develop, test, debug, and maintain scalable software applications.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications based on business requirements.
Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and best practices.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and technical issues.
Develop and integrate APIs and work with databases.
Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
Write unit tests and support application testing and debugging.
Stay updated with emerging technologies, development tools, and software engineering practices.
Contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, or C#.
Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing fundamentals.
Basic knowledge of REST APIs and web development concepts.
Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and work with new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:
Internship experience or academic project experience in software development.
Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring Boot, React, Angular, Django, or similar technologies.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or automated testing tools.
Contributions to GitHub projects or participation in coding competitions.
