Associate Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Associate Software Engineer to join our Bengaluru-based engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in programming, problem-solving, and software development fundamentals, with an eagerness to learn and contribute to real-world projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Create, test, debug, and maintain scalable software applications based on business requirements. Write clean, efficient, and reusable code.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in rigorous code reviews, adhere to best practices, identify defects, and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Integration & Testing: Develop APIs, work with databases (SQL), write unit tests, and support application testing.
• Agile Practices: Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and continuous improvement initiatives within an Agile environment.

Required Skills

• Languages: Proficiency in at least one language (Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, or C#).
• Fundamentals: Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Databases & APIs: Familiarity with SQL/relational databases and RESTful API integration.
• Tools: Experience with Git/version control systems and understanding of the SDLC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic project experience or internship exposure in software development.
• Familiarity with frameworks like Spring Boot, React, Django, etc.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
