Associate SOC Analyst

Role Overview

PowerSchool is seeking an Associate SOC Analyst to join our Enterprise Security team in Bengaluru, India. In this entry-level role, you will act as the first line of defense, monitoring systems to detect and respond to security threats. You will collaborate with stakeholders and application teams to investigate incidents, refine security runbooks, and optimize our security stack, including SIEM, endpoint protection, and WAF technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security logs and triage alerts to identify and remediate low-risk security events.
• Assist in the response to high-impact incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Configure and tune security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and DLP solutions.
• Analyze vulnerability scan results to identify and mitigate risk patterns.
• Contribute to the automation of routine security workflows and update SOC procedures.
• Maintain current knowledge of emerging cyber threats and evolving security technologies.

Qualifications

• Experience: 0-1 years of relevant work experience in cybersecurity.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Preferred: Relevant security certifications and familiarity with Google SecOps.
