Associate Site Reliability Engineer - Pune, India

Join a dynamic team as an Associate Site Reliability Engineer in Pune, India, and contribute to advancing DevOps practices within a growing enterprise. This permanent role requires a proactive individual with 2-4 years of experience in SRE and ITIL processes, coupled with a passion for automation and cloud technologies. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems, working closely with development and support teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and ITIL processes.
• Engage in testing automation and contribute to ITIL process improvements.
• Leverage cloud experience to support and enhance system operations.
• Be prepared to work in shifts and provide on-call support, including weekends.
• Actively contribute to automation initiatives across the enterprise.
• Drive the adoption and advancement of DevOps methodologies.
• Evaluate manual support processes and recommend DevOps tooling and automation solutions.
• Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.

Additional Duties:

• Gain practical experience in test automation and ITIL process implementation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve test case and job failures within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Provide application and infrastructure support on cloud platforms.
• Develop a basic understanding of server patching cycles.
• Perform quality checks and update automation scripts.
• Design and implement basic testing suites for Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
• Develop standard software tools, frameworks, and utilities for validation, verification, and end-to-end functional testing.
• Identify and recommend optimal tools and frameworks for testing, creating reusable automated tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, business teams, developers, and analysts to develop comprehensive test plans, conditions, and cases, including test data conditioning and execution.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent certifications.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as PowerShell, Bash, Perl, Python, or Ruby.
• Strong knowledge of Selenium, MS Test, and API testing tools, with proven competence in integration testing.
• Hands-on experience with any cloud platform.
• Understanding of Microsoft and Red Hat Linux server technologies.
• Ability to effectively bridge the gap between Development and Production Support teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working experience and understanding of SRE practices and their alignment with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Windows Servers monitoring and automation.
• Experience managing multiple operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
• Familiarity with Jenkins and Ansible.
• Knowledge of post-deployment validation checks.
• Experience with GCP, particularly in monitoring and cost optimization.
