Associate Security Analyst

Aeries Technology is seeking an Associate Security Analyst in Pune to join our Managed Solutions Services department. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals passionate and knowledgeable about information and cyber security, keen to investigate and defend against a range of cybersecurity incidents. These include credential theft, phishing attacks, domain abuse, social media impersonations, business email compromise (BEC), and other threats to the digital risk landscape.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor proprietary detection systems for new attacks and validate detected malicious threats.
• Oversee systems for attack reports from clients and their customers.
• Analyze potential attack vectors and devise resolution strategies.
• Cultivate strong relationships with partnering providers and clients.
• Collaborate effectively across multiple teams to enhance client protection and service.
• Utilize various tools and programs such as DNS tools, WhoIs records, open-source intelligence, basic scripting (Bash, GO, Python), and Linux environments.

Qualifications:

• Relevant education or experience in the IT industry is preferred.
• Solid understanding of internet infrastructure, including IP subnetting, DNS, zone files, TLDs, HTTP, and SMTP.
• Knowledge of common internet attacks, including various types of fraud, social engineering, and scams across social media and mobile channels.
• Demonstrated ability to apply analytical concepts to solve complex problems.
• Proven team player with excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a passion for client satisfaction.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with remote team members.
• Basic familiarity with Unix/Linux command line operations.
