Aeries Technology is seeking an Associate Security Analyst to join our Managed Solutions Services team in Pune. In this role, you will be instrumental in investigating and defending against a variety of cybersecurity incidents. This includes, but is not limited to, credential theft, phishing attacks, domain abuse, and business email compromise (BEC) attacks, as well as other threats to the digital risk landscape.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor our proprietary detection systems for new attacks and validate detected malicious threats.
• Oversee systems for attack reports submitted by our clients and their customers.
• Analyze potential attack vectors and develop effective resolution strategies.
• Foster strong relationships with partnering providers and clients.
• Collaborate effectively across multiple teams to enhance client protection and service delivery.
• Utilize a range of essential tools and programs, including DNS tools, WhoIs records, and various open-source security resources.

Qualifications:

• A relevant educational background or practical experience in the IT industry is preferred.
• Solid understanding of internet fundamentals such as IP subnetting, DNS, zone files, TLDs, HTTP, and SMTP.
• Knowledge of email headers and their constituent elements.
• Familiarity with common internet attacks and email scams, including various forms of fraud, social engineering, and scams across multiple channels like social media and mobile platforms.
• Proven ability to apply analytical concepts to solve complex problems.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication abilities.
• Self-motivated with a passion for exceeding client expectations.
• Ability to work effectively with remote team members.
