Associate Security Analyst

Join Aeries Technology as an Associate Security Analyst in Pune, a role within our Managed Solutions Services division. This is an entry-level opportunity for a passionate individual eager to contribute to a growing company with a relaxed work environment and a dedicated team. You will be instrumental in investigating and defending against a range of cybersecurity incidents, including credential theft, phishing attacks, domain abuse, business email compromise (BEC), and other emerging threats to the digital risk landscape.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor our proprietary detection systems for new attacks and validate malicious threats.
• Oversee client systems for attack reports from clients and their customers.
• Analyze potential attack vectors and identify effective resolution strategies.
• Cultivate strong relationships with partnering providers and clients.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple teams to enhance client protection and service.
• Utilize various tools and programs, including DNS tools, WhoIs records, open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools, and more.

Qualifications:

• Relevant education or practical experience in the IT industry is preferred.
• Solid understanding of internet fundamentals such as IP subnetting, DNS, zone files, TLDs, HTTP, SMTP, and related protocols.
• Proficiency in analyzing email headers and understanding different email components.
• Knowledge of common internet attacks and email scams, including various fraud types, social engineering tactics, and scams across social media and mobile channels.
• Demonstrated ability to apply analytical concepts to solve complex problems.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication abilities across verbal, written, and electronic channels.
• Self-motivated with a passion for client satisfaction.
• Ability to effectively work with remote team members.
