Associate Security Analyst

Join Aeries Technology as an Associate Security Analyst in Pune, a role within our Managed Solutions Services team. You will be instrumental in investigating and defending against a variety of cybersecurity incidents, including credential theft, phishing attacks, domain abuse, business email compromise (BEC), and other evolving threats. Your responsibilities will involve monitoring our proprietary detection systems, validating malicious threats, and analyzing attack vectors to propose resolutions. You'll also collaborate with clients and partnering providers, and work across multiple internal teams to enhance our security posture and client service. This role requires utilizing various tools such as DNS tools, WhoIs records, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) platforms. What You'll Do:

• Monitor internal proprietary detection systems for new attacks and validate detected malicious threats.
• Oversee systems for attack reports from our clients and their customers.
• Analyze potential attack vectors and research resolution options.
• Cultivate strong relationships with partnering providers and clients.
• Collaborate effectively across multiple teams to better protect and serve our clients.
• Utilize various programs and tools including: DNS tools, WhoIs records, and open-source tools.

Qualifications:

• Relevant education or experience in the IT industry is preferred.
• Solid understanding of Internet innerworkings such as IP subnetting, DNS, zone files, TLDs, HTTP, and SMTP.
• Proficiency in analyzing email headers and understanding different email elements.
• Knowledge of common internet attacks and email scams, including various types of fraud, social engineering, and scams across multiple channels (social media, mobile).
• Aptitude for applying analytical concepts to solve complex problems.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills across verbal, written, and electronic channels.
• Self-motivated and passionate about exceeding client expectations.
• Ability to collaborate seamlessly with remote-based team members.
