About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Generalist with exceptional writing skills, a solid background in research, climate sustainability, environmental issues, and governance. The ideal candidate understands environmental policies, climate change mitigation strategies, and governance frameworks.

This position offers unique opportunities to engage in diverse activities centered on sustainability and environmental governance within Andhra Pradesh, India.

Key Responsibilities

• R&D & Analysis: Develop high-quality research documents, conduct need assessments, situation analyses, data analysis sessions, and facilitate brainstorming with relevant stakeholders to drive actionable insights.
• Paper Development: Coordinate, manage, and draft comprehensive research papers focusing on community readiness for climate initiatives.
• Policy Framing: Take an innovative, research-driven perspective when framing recommendations and policy insights specifically tailored for sub-national government stakeholders in Andhra Pradesh.
• Operationalization & Governance: Partner with organizational leadership and state administration to operationalize community-collected feedback. Your goal will be promoting sustainable practices and strengthening environmental governance frameworks at the ground level.
• Event Management: Organize and execute impactful events, seminars, roundtable discussions, and workshops to build out capabilities within the ecosystem.

Requirements

Candidates with prior professional experience in the development sector are preferred, particularly those with expertise in climate change, sustainability, environmental governance, public policy, community development, or government engagement.

Qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, Sustainability, Climate Studies, Governance, or a closely related field is essential.
• We are looking for professionals with at least 2–4 years of experience in research and climate change domains. Specific industry knowledge in energy efficiency programs, environmental conservation initiatives, or MSME (Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises) sectors will be highly valued.
• Proven track record in writing high-quality reports, academic papers, policy briefs, and professional documentation is mandatory for this role.
• Familiarity with national and international environmental policies, climate change mitigation strategies, and governance frameworks is required.
• Languages: Strong command of both English and Hindi is necessary to effectively communicate with stakeholders across the region.
