Full Job Description
As an Associate Network Engineer at Cargill in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India, you will play a key role in implementing, maintaining, and contributing to the design of our robust network infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure communication across the organization. Working with limited supervision, you will partner with teams to configure and manage network devices like routers, switches, and firewalls. This role involves performing regular maintenance and upgrades, actively monitoring network performance, and troubleshooting moderately complex issues. You will also provide valuable suggestions for optimizing and automating systems to enhance efficiency and scalability. Furthermore, you will support security measures to safeguard our network against threats and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Network Solutions: Implement and collaborate on designing network solutions tailored to organizational needs, including the creation of network diagrams and blueprints.
- Network Devices Configuration: Set up and configure various moderately complex network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, virtual private networks, and software-defined networking to maintain optimal performance and security.
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Perform moderately complex troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining network reliability.
- Network Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and updates on network systems, including applying patches, service packs, and security configurations.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor network performance using various tools to maintain system availability and reliability, and suggest necessary adjustments for optimization.
- Security Measures: Sustain network security by implementing appropriate measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
- Disaster Recovery Planning: Implement and collaborate on developing disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of network failures.
- Network Automation: Implement and collaborate on developing automation tools and processes to streamline network operations, including configuration management, device provisioning, and software updates.
Qualifications
A minimum of 1 year of experience in Network Security Engineering within an enterprise environment, specifically with Firewalls, VPNs, and Proxies. A good understanding of SSE & SASE solutions is required. Candidates should possess solid experience with CheckPoint Firewall, Cisco ISE, Forescout, and Microsoft NPS, coupled with strong design, implementation, operation, and troubleshooting skills.
