Full Job Description
Amgen India is set to play a crucial role in fostering growth, innovation, and operational efficiency to support our mission of serving patients. This Associate IS Data Engineer position within the Digital Technology & Innovation (DTI) team in Amgen India is part of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Medical Data Analytics and Insights Product Team. The primary focus will be on delivering advanced analytics capabilities for the Global Medical business organization. You will collaborate with business users, architects, validation engineers, platform teams, product owners, and development teams to develop and enhance analytics solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in data integration delivery across various technology platforms including Databricks, Tableau, CI/CD, GitLab, and AWS Services. Collaboration with global teams is essential for seamless integration and operational excellence. This role requires a solid background in data integration throughout the end-to-end software development lifecycle and practical experience with the Scaled Agile Framework. You will be instrumental in driving key organizational strategic initiatives, cultivating a collaborative environment, and delivering high-quality results within a matrixed organizational structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Digital Technology Data and Analytics Data Engineer within a SAFe product team.
- Contribute to the Global Medical Data and Analytics Product team, ensuring business needs are met cost-effectively, compliantly, and reliably.
- Leverage data, AI, and metrics to analyze user behavior and product usage trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Integrate data and develop ETL pipelines and integration queries within the Databricks data lake environment.
- Lead the analysis of data and insights user stories, utilizing existing CI/CD delivery pipelines and processes, with a focus on automating and streamlining workflows.
- Utilize modeling tools such as Miro or Lucid Chart to communicate software and system designs.
- Develop test classes and automation to validate business logic and prevent production issues.
- Collaborate closely with other members of the product scrum team, including business analysts, software engineers, validation analysts, and the Product Owner.
- Research and drive Proof of Concepts for AI/LLM-based solutions to meet business requirements. Stay updated on the latest DevOps methodologies and emerging industry solutions.
- Participate in the development of prioritized data and analytics metrics and user stories within the Databricks environment.
- Gain familiarity with AWS Services and other cloud technologies.
- Develop technical design and business documentation for end-users.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of the product and customer experience.
- Engage with customers at critical junctures of their journey to gather insights on their value perceptions.
- Quickly debug and resolve customer challenges to ensure satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree with 1 year of Information Systems experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of Information Systems experience.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in developing, implementing, and supporting Data and Analytics Data Lake systems, analytics/reporting, and visualization tools.
- Experience with the Databricks platform, including developing integration pipelines, SFDC APIs, REST-based web services, SQL, XML, and JavaScript.
- Extensive hands-on technical and engineering experience building REACT-based UI solutions.
- Experience in BI environments such as Tableau or Power-BI.
- Experience developing within an enterprise environment with multiple applications and development teams, following an AGILE framework.
- Understanding of AWS services, security frameworks, and AI/LLM base models.
Functional Skills:
