Associate Front End Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Associate Front-End Engineer to join our dynamic game development team in Pune, India. This role is critical in bringing compelling game experiences to life for our SG products, focusing on the client-side development of desktop and mobile games.

As a Client Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, debugging, modifying, and supporting in-game features, as well as development and operational tools. You will actively contribute to game design and collaborate closely with your team to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain robust client-side code for desktop and mobile games efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and work with client/server-based applications utilizing technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Contribute to the creation of new and innovative games, as well as new features within existing games.
• Participate actively in the game design process.
• Debug and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 1-2 years of professional software development experience.
• A strong command of JavaScript, including an understanding of its nuances and effective workarounds.
• Proficiency in data structures, whether through JavaScript or another programming language.
• A foundational understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with essential development tools such as IDEs, debuggers, and bug tracking systems.
• A solid grasp of code versioning tools like Git, CVS, or SVN.
• Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and languages.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, jQuery, NodeJS).
• Practical experience with other programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python).
• Familiarity with front-end build tools like Grunt.
• Experience in distributed application development (client/server).
• Previous experience in game development.
• Proficiency in UI development and creating animations.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
