Associate Engineer .Net

As an Associate Software Engineer at Giant Eagle, you will be integral to the design, development, and optimization of systems and applications within a FullStack environment. Leveraging Python and React, you will analyze existing programs, devise logic for new systems, create flowcharts, and execute rigorous coding and debugging. Your role will involve utilizing SQL for data-driven insights and employing GitHub and CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and system reliability. Beyond technical contributions, you will prepare system documentation, propose enhancements to development standards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, high-quality software solutions that meet customer requirements. This role is ideal for individuals with 1 to 3 years of experience, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field). Responsibilities include applying professional concepts and company policies to resolve moderate scope issues, exercising judgment within defined procedures, and receiving general direction on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects, all while maintaining a continuous improvement mindset. You will manage the installation, configuration, testing, and documentation of custom-developed (Python/React) and vendor-packaged applications, provide development for enhancements and reporting using SQL, and maintain proficiency in coding languages and DevOps tools like GitHub and CI/CD pipelines. Collaboration with the development team for designing, testing, and implementing business solutions, completing unit, system, regression, and parallel testing, and producing accurate management reports using Microsoft Office and data visualization skills are key. You will also stay abreast of industry trends, evaluate new products, ensure information security, communicate effectively with IT and non-IT personnel, report issues promptly, and provide 24x7 support when needed. Participation in training programs and assisting team members are also expected.
