Associate Engineer – Full Stack at PayPal
Join PayPal's Developer Productivity Engineering (DPE) organization as an Associate Engineer, focusing on building and maintaining automated build, test, and release workflows for thousands of PayPal developers. This role involves working with a diverse technology stack, including legacy tools like Jenkins and modern solutions such as Harness CI and Argo CD. You will leverage front-end, back-end, and cloud technologies to address challenges in operating large-scale Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) systems.

Your Impact
We are seeking a technically proficient Associate Engineer with hands-on full-stack development experience in React JS, Python, Node.js, Java, and Golang. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, a team player, eager to learn and grow, and possesses a strong drive to challenge the status quo and pursue excellence. A solid professional and academic record is expected for this role within our innovative payments processing team that handles transactions at scale.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop efficient, clean, reusable, and uncomplicated code.
- Deliver high-quality solutions on schedule.
- Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements and develop elegant, reusable solutions.
- Create and review detailed low-level design documents.
- Present technical issues and solutions to diverse audiences, providing recognized technical and business leadership, and deep technical support.
- Manage workload and assignments efficiently, while reliably resolving time-critical situations professionally.
- Participate in the development of tools, systems, and processes to improve product supportability and overall support productivity.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience developing large-scale applications using Full Stack technologies including React JS, Golang, Node.js, and Java.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, with a good understanding of relational and free-form databases, and strong data architecture skills.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Argo, and Harness is a significant advantage.
- Exposure to cloud technologies is a plus.
- A deep understanding of advanced object-oriented design and development principles.

Work Environment
