Associate Engineer, Modernization

KONE is seeking an Associate Engineer to support Front Line sales by providing effective tendering solutions for elevator modernization projects. This role is crucial in ensuring that proposed solutions meet customer requirements while maintaining cost-effectiveness, on-time delivery, and market competitiveness. The Associate Engineer will serve as the primary contact for Front Line teams regarding modernization tendering and Supply Management issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tendering solutions and specifications for elevator modernization globally.
• Act as a key interface for technical questions, clarifications, and transfer pricing support during the tender phase.
• Participate in kick-off, start-up, and clarification meetings as needed.
• Coordinate specifications within the Supply Chain, including Sourcing, Engineering, and local subcontractors.
• Ensure proposed solutions comply with codes, regulations, safety requirements, and business objectives.
• Manage tender drawings and related documentation.
• Specify and update material requirements for KONE and local materials.
• Evaluate and ensure the accuracy of tender quotations.
• Prepare reliable quotations for various scenarios including volume products, non-standard projects, variation orders, feedback, and warranty claims.
• Participate in product release sessions and validate prices and configurations for modernization packages.
• Assist Supply Management with transfer pricing for complex order phase changes.
• Support tender processes as a Sales Point of Contact (SPOC) within project teams.
• Manage key tasks in the KONE Delivery process up to Milestone 3a.

Performance measures will include: Response time, punctuality, quality, and full chain tender response time.
