Associate Engineer

About the Role

Join AssetMark as an Associate Engineer to develop, test, document, and maintain robust software solutions for our wealth management platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams within a mentorship-driven environment focused on growing your technical expertise through agile practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development: Write clean, maintainable code in JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C#, or Python following industry best practices. Progressively take ownership of feature components under mentorship.
• Technical Learning: Rapidly master our technology stack through structured programs and hands-on projects.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Implement comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration) to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to translate requirements into innovative solutions.
• Problem Solving: Apply analytical thinking to resolve complex technical challenges methodically.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create clear technical documentation and actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Agile Methodologies: Contribute effectively within sprints, standups, and iterative development cycles.

Requirements

This role requires a candidate who can accommodate our hybrid work schedule based near the Charlotte, NC office. You should have 0-3 years of experience or be an exceptional recent graduate with relevant project/internship work.

• Solid foundation in programming languages (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred) and web technologies (HTML/CSS/APIs).
• Experience with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
