Associate DevOps Engineer

Overview

TD SYNNEX seeks an experienced and enthusiastic Associate DevOps Engineer to join its global DevOps organization. This role is pivotal in supporting the Agile transformation within the Innovation Technology department. The DevOps team collaborates closely with product teams to deploy and manage enterprise-class solutions aligned with TD SYNNEX's strategic objectives. A key focus will be leveraging automation and monitoring to drive continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage lifecycle and release management processes for applications supporting the product development team (10%).
• Oversee the continuous delivery process for building, deploying, and promoting product development team applications (10%).
• Ensure applications have automated functional tests integrated into the continuous delivery process to validate successful deployment and operation (5%).
• Configure application monitoring with rules and alerts for routine and exceptional operational conditions (5%).
• Collaborate directly with development and QA teams, leading the design and delivery of advanced DevOps capabilities (5%).
• Assist in developing overall project plans, timetables, and identifying intermediate deliverables (5%).
• Design, code, test, debug, implement, and document enhancements for continuous improvement in product solutions (10%).
• Ensure management and monitoring tools are integrated with product development team infrastructure, featuring rules/alerts for operational conditions (5%).
• Report task progress and status to project teams and management (5%).
• Manage IaaS and PaaS infrastructure supporting product development applications (20%).
• Execute capacity, availability, issue, and change management processes for relevant product teams (5%).
• Develop and maintain documentation and diagrams outlining automated solutions and environmental architecture (5%).

Qualifications

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field is required.
• 1-3 years of IT experience in a technical field is required.

Other Education / Certifications

• Experience implementing and supporting continuous delivery pipelines.
• Proven ability to manage network, security, infrastructure, and serverless technologies in public cloud environments (Microsoft Azure preferred).
• Knowledge of Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code concepts (e.g., Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
• Working experience with PaaS technologies and solutions (App/Microservices preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functional/technical teams.
• Demonstrated growth mindset with enthusiasm for rapidly learning and applying new technologies to solve business problems.
• Hands-on experience coding/building enterprise-scale applications using modern web technologies.
• Good understanding of infrastructure and network design principles.
• Strong understanding of security best practices.
• Ability to write functional code in at least one language (.Net, Python, Ruby, Javascript, or C#).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
