Associate DevOps Engineer

About the Role

TD SYNNEX is actively seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our global DevOps team. In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in supporting the Agile transformation initiatives within the Innovation Technology department. You will collaborate closely with product teams to deploy and manage enterprise-grade solutions aligned with TD SYNNEX's strategic objectives. A significant focus will be placed on leveraging automation and advanced monitoring techniques to drive continuous improvements throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the lifecycle and release management processes for applications supporting the product development team (10%).
• Ensure the efficient execution of the continuous delivery process, encompassing building, deploying, and promoting applications developed by the product team (10%).
• Verify that applications are equipped with automated functional tests utilized by the continuous delivery process to confirm successful deployment and operation (5%).
• Configure and maintain application monitoring systems, including setting up rules and alerts for both routine and exceptional operational conditions (5%).
• Engage directly with development and QA teams, taking accountability for the design and implementation of advanced DevOps capabilities (5%).
• Contribute to the development of comprehensive project plans, timelines, and the identification of intermediate deliverables (5%).
• Design, code, test, debug, implement, and document enhancements that contribute to continuous improvement efforts within relevant product solutions (10%).
• Integrate management and monitoring tools with the product development team's infrastructure, ensuring appropriate rules and alerts are in place for operational conditions (5%).
• Report on the progress and status of assigned tasks to project teams and management (5%).
• Design, code, test, debug, implement, and document enhancements that support continuous improvement efforts within the product development team's solutions (5%).
• Manage Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) infrastructure that supports product development applications (20%).
• Execute capacity, availability, issue, and change management processes for pertinent product teams (5%).
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and diagrams outlining automated solutions and environmental architecture (5%).

Qualifications:

• Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of IT experience in a relevant field is required.
• Other Education / Certifications:
• Proven experience in implementing and supporting continuous delivery pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to manage network, security, infrastructure, and serverless technologies in public cloud environments, with a preference for Microsoft Azure.
• Solid understanding of Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code principles (e.g., Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
• Working experience with PaaS technologies and solutions, particularly App/Microservices.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functional and technical teams to achieve project goals.
• A growth mindset with enthusiasm for rapidly learning new technologies and applying them to solve business challenges.
• Hands-on experience in coding and building enterprise-scale applications using modern web technologies.
• Good understanding of infrastructure and network design principles.
• Strong grasp of security best practices.
• Proficiency in writing functional code using at least one of the following languages: .NET, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, or C#.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
