Associate
Full Job Description
Location
New Delhi (primary) with deployment opportunities across Vadodara, Jaipur, and Visakhapatnam. This role is based on-site at customer utility offices for extended periods.
About the Role
We are seeking a field-focused professional to bridge our engineering platform with state-owned power utilities. You will embed directly into client teams alongside Directors and CGMs, observing real-world usage patterns to identify friction points in UI/UX, functionality, or analytical logic.
Your mission is to translate these observations into precise feedback for engineers while building trust with senior stakeholders—from IAS officers to Chairmen—to ensure platform adoption. You must be comfortable discussing technical power flow concepts and presenting confidently at the executive level.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Deployment: Work out of customer utility offices for weeks, shadowing senior leadership during daily operations to capture detailed usage data.
- Feedback Documentation: Produce structured notes separating user interface issues from functional bugs and analytical flaws, ensuring specificity needed by software engineers.
- Stakeholder Management: Map client organizational dynamics, identifying decision-makers, influencers, and blockers. Defend our methodology during demos with Director-level leadership.
- Closed-Loop Execution: Own the feedback loop between field insights and engineering roadmaps. Push back when reality contradicts plans and secure rapid implementation of critical features.
- Validation & Growth: Drive customers to test outputs against their own data to generate third-party proof of value. Surface new product opportunities, pilot openings, and integration requirements from the ground up.
What We're Looking For
- Background: 2-5 years at a top-tier consulting firm (e.g., Big 4), research institution, development finance organization, or high-growth startup.
- Communication: Exceptional written skills; your notes are the primary interface between customer and engineering teams. Vague documentation is not acceptable.
- Tech Curiosity: Ability to grasp technical metrics (even without an engineering degree) and explain them clearly to both non-technical clients and engineers.
- Mindset: A strong bias toward ownership, accountability, and fluency with AI tooling as a productivity multiplier.
