Associate Data Engineer

About the Role

As an Associate Data Engineer at TaskUs, you will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and warehouses supporting our analytics infrastructure. You will ensure accurate data delivery for business analysis and reporting needs by configuring solutions based on pre-approved patterns to move data from operational environments to BI platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage data integration & ETL jobs including consolidation, aggregation, filtering, validation, and dimension creation using tools like Pentaho Data Integration or Airflow.
• Configure and deploy automation of production-level jobs while considering dependencies and schedules to ensure seamless updates across the environment.
• Design, develop, verify, and continuously optimize data models according to business requirements (star/snowflake schemas).
• Collaborate with technical users and stakeholders to define data requirements and establish business rules for delivering relevant insights via new datasets.
• Perform unit and system integration testing on development projects while undertaking peer reviews and ensuring documentation is current.
• Monitor error handling, logging tools, performance metrics, troubleshoot configuration/data errors, and raise appropriate flags as needed. Identify opportunities to optimize the ETL environment for data accuracy and integrity.
