Associate Consultant

Adani Natural Resources is seeking a Mine Planning Executive for Open Cast mining to support the development and execution of effective mine plans. This role is crucial for optimizing resource extraction and operational efficiency in open cast mining projects. The Mine Planning Executive will assist in preparing detailed mine designs, scheduling, and budgeting, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory compliance, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Support in Project Planning and Feasibility

• Assist in gathering and organizing data for mine plans, optimizing resource extraction for metal mining projects.
• Support the development of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) by collecting technical data and ensuring accurate documentation.
• Contribute to techno-economic feasibility studies through data analysis and report generation.
• Aid in the preparation of Progressive and Final Mine Closure Plans under senior guidance.

Assistance in Operational Planning and Scheduling

• Assist in preliminary pit shell development by gathering data and performing basic calculations.
• Support the creation of pit layouts and mine development sequences.
• Contribute to short and mid-term operational plans by compiling and analyzing relevant data.
• Assist in preparing annual and quarterly operational plans, ensuring alignment with guidelines.

Equipment and Manpower Planning

• Assist in the selection of appropriate mining equipment by analyzing performance data.
• Support the planning and scheduling of equipment usage by maintaining records and providing input on availability.
• Assist in assessing manpower requirements for mining operations.

Data Analysis and Reporting

• Collect and analyze operational data to evaluate performance against the plan.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on mine planning, production metrics, and variance analysis.
• Recommend improvements in mine planning and operational efficiency based on data-driven insights.

Technical and Financial Analysis

• Assist in analyzing bid documents and providing inputs for project bidding.
• Collaborate with departments to plan bidding strategies for coal and metal mining blocks.
• Support cost estimations (Capex and Opex) and financial model development for mining projects.

Regulatory Compliance and Safety

• Ensure all mine planning activities comply with environmental and safety regulations.
• Assist in preparing statutory reports and documentation for regulatory approvals.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with mining laws and safety standards.

Technical Support and Continuous Improvement

• Provide technical support to site teams in implementing mine plans and troubleshooting operational issues.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in open cast mining.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance mine planning processes.

Execute Digital Tasks with Proficiency

• Utilize assigned digital tools and software efficiently for daily tasks.
• Continuously upskill in emerging digital technologies relevant to the role.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in the Mining Industry (Non-Coal Mining preferred).
