Why We're Hiring

This role focuses on hosting—the engine room keeping millions of small-business websites online daily. It serves as a strong entry point for engineers to build real fundamentals in Python, Linux, and MySQL at scale while working on infrastructure undergoing modernization with AI-assisted engineering.

What You'll Do:

• Build and maintain backend services, internal tools, and automations using Python.
• Support Linux-based production systems: navigate services, read logs, and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Write, test MySQL queries against production-scale data to build query-optimization skills.
• Leverage AI across the delivery lifecycle—coding, debugging, testing—and rigorously review generated code before shipping.
• Pair with senior engineers to turn requirements into well-tested, maintainable, production-ready code.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and team documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues alongside the Hosting team, learning incident response.

Who You Are & What You'll Need To Succeed:

• 1-3 years of backend development experience.
• Working knowledge of Python for writing/testing scripts and services.
• Basic Linux systems knowledge: shell navigation, service status checks, log reading.
• Familiarity with MySQL or another relational database (basic query writing).
• Ai-augmented delivery mindset: using AI strategically across the lifecycle while understanding its limitations regarding customer data in prompts.
• Genuine eagerness to learn hosting infrastructure and backend fundamentals at scale.

Bonus Skills: Exposure to REST APIs, Git workflows, automation/scripting outside Python; familiarity with Perl or cPanel concepts is a plus but not required.
