About the Role: Associate Analyst - AMI - TAX - Indirect Tax - Core - Ahmedabad
This role is within the Advanced Manufacturing, Mobility & Infrastructure (AMI) Industry Market, which encompasses Aerospace and Defence, Chemicals, Infrastructure, Industrial Products, Automotive, and Transportation sectors. We assist clients in navigating the evolving business landscape by understanding how goods and services are devised, created, bought, and sold. The AMI team collaborates across sectors facing common challenges to drive effective cross-sector collaboration, resource pooling, and cohesive market responses.
About TAX - Indirect Tax - Core

We leverage exceptional knowledge, experience, and technology platforms to help clients make informed business decisions by delivering insightful analysis. We guide companies in understanding and complying with global tax policies and laws. Our teams utilize transformative technologies for strategy and execution, from tax and regulatory obligations to operations and workforce management, aiming to reduce risk and drive sustainable value.
Key Responsibilities:
- General corporate advisory and drafting/vetting of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, employment agreements, lease deeds, warrant agreements, and assignment agreements.
- Providing advice on legal and compliance issues related to corporate and commercial laws, labor laws, statutory approvals, and filings.
- Issuing legal opinions and memorandums on various commercial and corporate law issues across diverse sectors.
- Collaborating with teams on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions.
- Participating in legal due diligence exercises and managing specific sections of the process.
- Drafting and vetting transaction documents such as share purchase/subscription agreements, shareholders agreements, joint ventures agreements, escrow agreements, and term sheets.
- Maintaining a strong understanding of legal issues and staying updated with legal developments.

Qualifications:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or MBA.
Experience:
- Prior experience or insight into Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Customs is desirable. Familiarity with erstwhile indirect taxes such as Sales Tax, Service Tax, and Central Excise is also beneficial.
