As an Associate Software Engineer in Bengaluru, Karnataka, you will be an integral part of our team, supporting the design, development, and deployment of custom technical solutions across Deltek products. Key responsibilities include developing and supporting client-specific customizations, integrations, and automations under guidance, delivering assigned development tasks with quality and within estimated timelines, and adhering to established tools, coding standards, SDLC, CI/CD, and security practices.

You will collaborate effectively with a global team, including Team Leads, Senior Developers, consultants, project managers, partners, and cloud operations. Ensuring quality assurance by following established security, quality, and testing protocols, supporting testing activities, and fixing defects is crucial. We encourage leveraging an AI-first methodology throughout the project lifecycle, utilizing AI-powered tools for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable technical solutions. Continuous improvement is key, so actively engage in learning new tools, technologies, and Deltek product capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or final-year student) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Entry-level experience through academic projects, internships, labs, or personal/open-source projects.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, core software development principles, and computer science fundamentals like data structures, algorithms, and logical problem-solving.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English for technical discussions.

Technical Skills:

• Basic proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript (Node.js preferred), Java, or C/C++, with an understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and basic software design principles.
• Introductory experience with web applications, APIs, integrations, or automation.
• Basic understanding of unit testing, debugging, and defect fixing.
• Familiarity with development tools like IDEs and version control (Git).
• Hands-on experience or foundational knowledge of AI/LLM-based tools and prompt engineering is a plus.
