Assistant HR Manager

We are seeking an Assistant HR Manager with a focus on Sales HR for a leading FMCG company based in Velacherry, Chennai. The role involves partnering with sales leadership to strategize manpower planning and talent acquisition for frontline sales teams. Key responsibilities include managing recruitment for various sales roles such as Territory Sales Officers, Area Sales Managers, Sales Executives, and distributor sales staff. The position will drive onboarding and induction programs, support sales performance management and incentive coordination, and oversee employee engagement initiatives for field sales teams. You will also coordinate with regional sales managers on attrition control and workforce planning, ensuring timely closure of sales positions and maintaining recruitment metrics. This role requires assisting in the implementation of HR policies and processes across sales functions, supporting training and development, and handling employee grievances and HR support for field teams. Maintaining HRMIS data and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations are also crucial aspects of this role.

The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in Sales HR within the FMCG/Consumer Goods industry, with proven experience in hiring and managing frontline sales workforces. A good understanding of sales incentive structures and field-force management, along with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, is essential. The candidate must be adaptable to a fast-paced, target-driven environment and willing to coordinate with multiple regions and sales teams. A qualification of MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent, with a minimum of 5–8 years of relevant HR experience with significant exposure to Sales HR, is required.
