Asia Transaction Management Group Support (TMG) - Derivatives Specialist
Morgan Stanley in Mumbai, India, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join the Asia Transaction Management Group (TMG) as a Derivatives Specialist. The TMG team plays a crucial role in the structured products issuance program, handling program creation and updates, documentation of new issuances, coordinating trade settlements, and managing listing & clearing with external parties. They also provide essential management information and metrics reporting.
This role involves managing structured products, coordinating across trade cycles, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting and processing Pricing Supplements and Term Sheets for structured products.
- Preparing documentation for corporate actions and similar events.
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams throughout the trade lifecycle to ensure smooth processing.
- Performing enrichment and allocation of trades for Structured Notes, Warrants, Certificates, and Swaps.
- Generating and maintaining reports related to trading activities.
- Managing expense processes, including invoice handling and approvals.
- Processing Index License agreements and liaising with vendors for compliance.
- Identifying and implementing automation opportunities using advanced tools (Excel, VBA, Python, workflow platforms) to optimize efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Qualifications and Skills:
- MBA / CA with 4+ years of exposure to the derivatives market is required.
- Lawyers with drafting experience in Structured Notes will be considered.
- In-depth understanding of equity or other asset-linked structured notes, warrants, certificates, trade lifecycles, and product mechanics is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail is a must.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
- Organized, proactive, and able to multi-task effectively.
- Proficiency in Excel is preferred.
