AS400 COBOL Developer - Onsite in Malaysia
Abhidi Solution Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled AS400 COBOL Developer to join their team in Delhi, Delhi. This role involves leading the development and maintenance of AS400 applications using RPG, RPGLE, and COBOL400. You will provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and manage DB2 databases on AS400. Collaboration with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions is essential, as is ensuring application performance, security, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting production issues, supporting system enhancements, and maintaining technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development and maintenance of AS400 applications using RPG, RPGLE, and COBOL400.
- Provide technical guidance and conduct code reviews.
- Manage and optimize DB2 databases on AS400.
- Work with business stakeholders to convert requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure application performance, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support system enhancements.
- Maintain technical documentation.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in AS400 / IBM i.
- Proficiency in COBOL, CL, and DB2/400.
- Experience with batch processing and online programs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and support production issues.
- Exposure to banking, insurance, or financial services systems is a plus.
- Experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
