About the Role
We are seeking an AI Engineer to translate client challenges into functional software solutions. You will collaborate directly with founders and industry operators to identify strategic AI applications within their businesses and implement them efficiently. Our focus is on integrating and deploying existing models effectively, rather than training from scratch.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop LLM-powered workflows to address critical operational issues for our clients.
- Establish robust evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness of deployed solutions.
- Build retrieval, search, and agentic systems, while understanding the value of simpler solutions when appropriate.
- Engage with non-technical stakeholders to define project scope before commencing development.
- Stay current with emerging model releases and translate this knowledge into actionable client recommendations.
What We're Looking For
- 2 to 4 years of engineering experience, including at least one production project utilizing LLMs or modern AI APIs.
- Proficiency in Python; familiarity with a secondary language like TypeScript or Go is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with major model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) and an understanding of their use cases.
- Knowledge of retrieval, structured outputs, function calling, or agentic patterns.
- Excellent written communication skills for asynchronous collaboration.
- A strong bias for action and delivery.
