Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Peloton Consulting Group is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad / Secunderabad, Telangana, India. This role focuses on the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven solutions for our clients. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain machine learning and AI models under senior guidance.
• Assist in building data pipelines for model training, validation, and deployment.
• Develop and integrate AI/ML models into client applications and systems.
• Support the development of generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) use cases, such as chatbots, summarization, and recommendation engines.
• Perform model evaluation, tuning, and optimization to enhance performance and accuracy.
• Clearly document models, code, and technical processes for internal and client use.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including consultants, data engineers, and product owners.
• Stay abreast of the latest AI tools, frameworks, and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Peloton's processes and intellectual property.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development.
• Proficiency in Python, including writing clean modular code, managing virtual environments, and working with APIs and JSON data.
• Experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts (supervised, unsupervised learning, NLP basics, model evaluation).
• Basic knowledge of LLM application development or prompt engineering.
• Familiarity with logging, exception handling, and diagnostics for observability of agentic workflows.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure, with a preference for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Comfort with Git-based workflows and agile development practices.
• Familiarity with APIs, REST services, and fundamental software engineering practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
• Detail-oriented, disciplined, and capable of working within structured architectural patterns.
• Adaptability to working with emerging AI frameworks and evolving specifications.

Additional Desired Skills:

• Experience with LangChain or another LLM application framework.
• Exposure to LangGraph, agentic architectures, or workflow graph orchestration systems.
• Experience deploying AI or microservices on Kubernetes, particularly on OCI OKE.
• Understanding of vector databases, embedding pipelines, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) design patterns.
• Knowledge of observability (logging, tracing, metrics) for LLM-based systems.
• Prior experience in a consulting environment is a plus.
