Artificial Intelligence Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled AI Engineer to join our team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will have practical experience with Python and a strong understanding of open-source AI frameworks like Ollama and LangChain. Experience with enterprise-grade platforms such as Azure OpenAI and Azure Foundry is also highly valued. This position is focused on developing intelligent, scalable, and production-ready AI solutions.

You will collaborate closely with data engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders to architect, build, and implement AI-powered applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML solutions utilizing Python and various open-source frameworks.
• Develop LLM-powered applications using frameworks including LangChain, Ollama, and enterprise platforms like Azure OpenAI and Azure Foundry.
• Integrate AI models with APIs, databases, and front-end applications.
• Work on advanced techniques such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and model fine-tuning.
• Evaluate and compare both open-source and cloud-based AI models to identify the best fit for specific business needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business challenges into effective AI-driven solutions.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements and trends in Generative AI, LLMs, and the associated open-source ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a closely related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering, software development, or a similar capacity.
• Proficient programming skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, Ollama, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Foundry.
• Solid understanding of core machine learning concepts, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and LLMs.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and the integration of AI within applications.
• Experience with Git, Docker, and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) is considered an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrated experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines.
• Exposure to Vector databases.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering and fine-tuning LLMs.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
