Caesarstone, a leader in the building materials industry, is seeking a driven Area Sales Manager to spearhead growth and deepen market penetration across Northern California. This pivotal role involves cultivating robust customer relationships, implementing strategic sales initiatives, and expertly managing key accounts to drive significant business expansion.

Responsibilities include:

  • Nurturing existing customer relationships, actively seeking new business opportunities, and networking to expand market share across all account sizes through consistent customer visits and compelling product knowledge presentations.
  • Developing and executing comprehensive customer and sales plans to fuel business growth.
  • Proactively following up on new leads and referrals generated from field activities.
  • Managing and overseeing projects in the sales pipeline, ensuring quality control and timely follow-up.
  • Maintaining optimal inventory levels of merchandising materials and samples for assigned customers to effectively support brand visibility and product promotion in the market.
  • Addressing and resolving customer issues promptly and effectively, ensuring management is kept informed of potential escalations.
  • Communicating new product and service opportunities, market developments, and feedback gathered from field activities to management. Collaborating seamlessly with internal teams to facilitate successful sales closures.
  • Maintaining open communication with management, providing weekly updates on account activity, status, and visit reports using Salesforce.
  • Leveraging CRM tools for efficient customer tracking, management, analysis, and requirement fulfillment.
  • Participating in key industry events such as product knowledge sessions, conventions, trade shows, and seminars.
  • Coordinating shipping schedules and merchandise/service delivery in collaboration with sales operations and logistics teams.
  • Cultivating and maintaining a high level of product and industry expertise through continuous learning, including attending industry events, trade shows, and association memberships.
  • Demonstrating flexibility with work schedules, including availability for nights and weekends as needed.
  • Undertaking other assigned duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in frontline customer engagement (e.g., retail sales, account management, hospitality).
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of successful sales, business development, or account management experience in a comparable role.
  • Experience in building materials, interior design, or construction is highly valued.
  • Previous work with premium or high-end brands is advantageous.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for building rapport with customers and internal teams.
  • A proven record of achieving and exceeding sales targets with a customer-centric focus.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Proficiency in negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills for handling multiple projects.
  • Prompt responsiveness to customer needs and commitments.
  • Collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Salesforce CRM.
  • A valid current state driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous sales experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Salesforce CRM.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 per year.
  • Quarterly bonus opportunities.
  • Job Type: Full-time, Onsite.
